**owner of the image used for a blend ** It's not OK to cut other people's work, whether it is signed or not. Because it's other people's and not yours. Stealing and then behaving like it's a natural thing to do is not the way to make art, or be a part of the community, especially for someone who calls themselves a 'designer'. If you like the image someone used in their work that much that you just HAVE to make something with it too… use google image search. Find the maker and ask them for the source. Graphic makers don't bite when you are polite. I have been asked about this particular edit several times and never hesitated to share the bases.
As for the credits: no, I do not want you to credit me. I worked hard on that graphic and I want my work to stay unaltered. So please, take it down from your DA gallery and from tumblr. Thank you.
While my message was : "Hi, I've reblogged your comment not just to show I'm not the type who refuse to give credits to others but to show that's useless try to do a "public humiliation" of someone without know how the facts really are. In the comment, I said to have found your image without the bottom part ( where the credits are ) and is extremely well done so I believed it was an official image of Avengers movie. If I may suggest, next time ask for credits before report a steal or else, avoids misunderstandings"
I recently found many works of mine on other sites, blogs and more without credits and obviously I didn't behave like this and not because my art it is less important than the one made by others but because sadly that's internet. People take your stuff and take off credits and in theory you don't have rights to complain when you made your design stuff using images that belongs to movies, books or simply with actors/actresses, models etc on it . Because even if you took a lot of time on it, the images aren't yours anyway.
What I'm really tired to see is this kind of behavior. The only thing you can do and show respect and kindness toward other designers, in particular for the ones who really lose a minute of their time to write : " oh sorry! I didn't mean to, I believed it was an official image because really well done. Wait, now I know who you are, I give you credits". But no. I don't have just to bear people who take my stuff without permission while I enjoy to share any kind of design with everyone, but I have to bear public humiliations on blogs and people that instead to fix the matter in private, starts drama on the web and I should stay in silence too ? I don't think so, sorry.
Many of you come on my DA page or on my tumblr to send me compliments and ask me if I accept commissions or I give my permission to add my stuff on DA groups etc. A big thanks to all of you and thanks to who had lost a minute to read this message, but if you see less designers be cooperative and kind it's even because they lives situations like this. People who take your stuff and who knows why delete credits, people that wants teach you about what a "designer truly is", speaking of a fan made blend where no one have copyrights on it. Some may agree about this matter and some not, but I had to share this ( for this time ). While many of you enjoy of the art shared on places like this and do not ask nothing in change if not "leave my name on this work please, then do everything you need with it" ( otherwise do not post it on internet ) or "if you have to do a new design using part of my stuff, please, don't forget to add my name as well in the credits and possibly a link" , some designers have to deal with these kind of situations and worst. I'm not the kind of artist who shows arrogance in post graphic stuff and then upset because may be used to do other design stuff ( headers, backgrounds etc ) . If I share, I do that because I still hope ( I say "still" because even if I found my stuff re-blogged without my name on it I follow to share ) that people will remember to add my name on a new design if my art gave contribute but pretty well aware I cannot claim rights over a blend or else if on it there is an actor, model etc because in that case speaking of copyrights would be terribly wrong.
nevermind your concept of "STEALING" (hm hm ok) .. following your reasoning..technically none of us is authorized to use TH images without permission and claim them as "ours" just because we made graphic stuff with it. This involve photomanipulation as well but if we start to talk about this concept, we may never find a end to this discussion. Generally speaking when someone shows kindness and possibly even professionality, asking you "sorry", giving an explanation and giving you credits, this kind of "acid" answers won't go in your favor, believe me. What should I do to who had "stolen" my WHOLE blend and took off the credits? Start a war or split venom because of that ? And think, it already happened a lot of times and nobody asked me sorry. I share my art with everyone and I'm glad to do so, I feel sorry if somebody does to me something like take off my credits but certainly I would appreciate a "sorry" and for sure after that I would give my permission to use my work asking to credit me.
I really like this part of the message : "Graphic makers don't bite when you are polite. "
Oh I see..
